From Tony Award Nominee Daniel J. Watts comes the true account of how a blurb in GQ magazine about Edson Arantes do Nascimento, better known as world-renowned soccer icon Pelé took Watts on an 11-year journey that ultimately led him to the bedside of the king 11 days before he died.

Incorporating original spoken word, music, Brazilian rhythms, and dance, dance, and more DANCE, this production celebrates the freedom, movement, and soul of the legend.

As Creative Director for this project, I designed a flyer that captures the freedom and vitality of the show through the utilization of handmade lettering and original photography.

The result echos the rhythm, play, improvisation, and contrasts that define O Menino. Honoring Pelé’s story and the expressive energy of Brazilian culture.
